Brent Mason Telecaster - Ask Zac 47

April 17, 2020

I remember vividly seeing this "new" guitarist play on TV in the early 90s. He had this crazy looking gray Tele, with a mini in the neck, a Strat in the middle, and boy howdy could he play! Of course, that guitarist was Brent Mason, and he has gone on to be one of the most recorded, and influential players to ever set foot in Nashville, TN. Today we take a look at the new Fender Brent Mason Telecaster, and walk through some of its cool features, and talk a bit about Brent too.

Neck depth at the first fret

I loved the black Tolex case, with the vibrant flame interior.

The bender arm that you attach a Dunlop Strap lock to. Also see the tuning adjustment wheel.

Next to the strap button is the tension adjustment. This sets how hard or soft you have to press down to actuate the bender. Tighten to make stiffer, loosen to make softer.

The fun case candy.
